@kurkeapp69Soniar - Building the Subconscious Social Network at 293ms
The Mission: I’m building Soniar, an AI-powered platform where users explore and connect through their dreams. We’re moving from a simple generation tool to a full-scale social ecosystem centered around "Cognitive Tech." The Tech Stack (The "Secret Sauce"): Infrastructure: Cloudflare Workers & Pages (Edge computing is non-negotiable for us). Database: Supabase (Recently optimized to reduce DB costs by 80% while handling traffic spikes). AI Engine: Fal.ai (Latency is key). Performance: We hit a milestone of 293ms global latency. In the world of AI, speed is the ultimate UX. Current Milestone: We just survived our first major traffic spike and the infra didn't blink. Now, we are pivoting: Phase 1: The Global Dream Feed (Live). Phase 2: Direct Social Layers (Messaging & Connections) - In Progress. Phase 3: Integration with neuroscience to ground AI interpretations in real cognitive data. Why I'm here: I’m building in public to show that you can build high-performance, viral-ready SaaS as a solo dev if you pick the right stack and obsess over the right metrics.
Pivoting Soniar: From an AI Tool to the Social Network of the Subconscious 🧠✨
The last 24 hours have been a rollercoaster. 📉 The Low: Got auto-banned from Reddit right after a traffic spike that briefly crashed the site. Traffic dropped to near zero. 🥊 The Reality Check: A chat with growth experts made it clear: "Dream generation is a toy. You need a utility." 🚀 The Pivot: Instead of a tool you use and leave, I’ve turned Soniar into a Social Network. What’s new: Direct Feed: No more landing page friction. You drop straight into the global subconscient. 80% DB Optimization: Wrote ~20 lines of code to implement a custom caching layer. We now handle social browsing with almost zero extra cost on Supabase. Speed is still king: Maintained the 293ms global latency while moving from "Creation" to "Connection." We aren't just interpreting dreams anymore. We are making them public. Check the new UX: www.soniar.app
Back online: Lessons from our first traffic-induced downtime.
We hit a snag due to the surge in traffic (shoutout to the US & Argentina crowd!), but we are back. 293ms latency is restored and the Workers are humming again
